challenge

Cloudera needed to create a multi-faceted campaign that served to build both awareness and demand for Cloudera's Open Data Lakehouse product offering, while also highlighting partnerships in the space with HPE and Intel.

APPROACH

Juggling so many elements meant that the approach had to be carefully crafted to strike the right balance of tone, information, and memorability. Being a product-driven campaign, the audience leaned more into the data practitioner archetype, meaning they skewed a little younger than the data leader audience, and were also more technically minded.

Juggling so many elements meant that the approach had to be carefully crafted to strike the right balance of tone, information, and memorability. Being a product-driven campaign, the audience leaned more into the data practitioner archetype, meaning they skewed a little younger than the data leader audience, and were also more technically minded.

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT

Instrument helped Cloudera develop a campaign that built off of the following:

  • Cloudera's extended web color palette

  • UI and Internet-culture inspired graphic elements

  • Cloudera's existing iconography and illustrative style

Together, these elements help establish a style that was unique to the motives of the campaign, but familiar to the Cloudera brand.

The campaign theme built off of Cloudera's belief that data can make the impossible, possible. It showed what one could do with data when backed by the collective forces of Cloudera, HPE, Intel and their implementations of the latest in open source technologies.

The creative vision came together in the form of a campaign hero video, banner ads, social ads, a landing page, and an infographic that would be leveraged in demand gen efforts.

DEPLOYMENT

Banner ads were deployed across a variety of platforms, including premium publishers like Wall Street Journal and on paid social platforms like LinkedIn.
